Beyond prayer, we must be intentional about how we speak about our nation. Instead of speaking negatively and carelessly about Nigeria, let us declare words of hope, faith, and transformation. Let our conversations be filled with grace, wisdom, and patriotism, believing that God can and will restore our land.

Prayer Points for Nigeria’s Present Condition

1. Prayer for Peace and Security
   Scripture: Psalm 122:6 – “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.”
   Nigeria faces insecurity in various forms, including terrorism, banditry, and communal conflicts. Let us pray for God’s divine intervention, asking Him to bring lasting peace and protect the innocent from violence.
2. Prayer for Righteous Leadership
   Scripture: Proverbs 29:2 – “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.”
   Leadership plays a crucial role in shaping the nation’s destiny. Pray for God to raise leaders who fear Him, uphold justice, and work for the well-being of all citizens.
3. Prayer for Economic Stability and Provision
   Scripture: Philippians 4:19 – “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
   Many Nigerians are struggling with inflation, unemployment, and economic hardship. Let us ask God to restore economic stability, open doors of opportunities, and provide for families in need.
4. Prayer for National Unity and Love
   Scripture: John 17:21 – “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.”
   Ethnic and religious divisions have fueled disunity in Nigeria. Pray for healing, reconciliation, and a spirit of love among Nigerians, that unity may strengthen the nation.
5. Prayer for Spiritual Revival and Righteousness
   Scripture: 2 Chronicles 7:14 – “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
   The moral and spiritual fabric of Nigeria is under attack. Pray for a nationwide revival, where people turn back to God in repentance and live according to His will.
