RENEW REFRESH REFOCUS
CASNFCI SCRIPTURE
& PRAYER FOR THE DAY
He said
to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. … Jesus told him, “Don’t be
afraid; just believe.” … Mark 5:25-43.
Two people. Two desperate situations.
One Savior.
A woman, bleeding for twelve years, had exhausted every resource and found no cure. Jairus, a synagogue leader, watched his young daughter fade before his eyes. Both faced hopelessness—one prolonged, the other urgent. Yet both dared to believe. The woman’s faith was quiet but bold. She didn’t ask for attention or permission. She simply thought, “If I just touch His clothes, I will be healed.” She pressed through the crowd and touched Jesus’ garment—and immediately, her bleeding stopped. Her faith activated healing power.
While this miracle unfolded, Jairus received devastating news: “Your daughter is dead. Don’t bother the Teacher anymore.” But Jesus turned to him and said, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.” In the face of death, He called for faith. Both stories remind us that daring to believe is not about ignoring reality but trusting God despite it. The woman believed against the odds, and Jairus was asked to believe beyond the finality of death. Faith doesn't always remove the crowd, the delay, or the pain—but it connects us to the One who holds power over sickness and death.
Jesus
honored their belief. The woman walked away whole. The girl rose and walked.
Lives were changed because they dared to believe when it was hardest.
What
are you facing today—prolonged suffering, heartbreaking news, or fear of what
comes next? Don’t give in to despair. Like the woman, reach out. Like Jairus,
keep walking with Jesus, even when hope seems lost.
Dare
to believe.
PRAYER
Lord, strengthen my faith to trust You in every situation. Help me believe, even when hope seems gone. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
