Your Voice Matters

“As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby leaped.”— Luke 1:39-45

Your voice may seem ordinary, but when you are carrying something divine, your voice carries power.

Mary had just said, “Be it unto me according to Your word.” That was not just a reply — it was total surrender. And that surrender changed her life. It positioned her for something unique. The Bible says she hurried to Elizabeth’s house. But when she arrived at Elizabeth’s house and greeted her, something happened. The baby in Elizabeth’s womb leaped, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. There was no sermon. No laying of hands. Just a greeting. But that greeting was full of presence, full of purpose, and full of Spirit. Mary’s voice was not loud — but it was loaded. That is how powerful your voice can be when God is with you. Elizabeth then declared, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!” She confirmed what no one had told her. She spoke by revelation, not information. She honored the grace in Mary. Even though she was older, she humbled herself before what God was doing in the younger.

When your life is yielded to God, your voice can break silence, stir destiny, and bring confirmation to others. Many people are speaking today, but not every voice carries grace. Some words bring confusion; some bring healing. Your words matter. Your voice matters. What are you releasing into your environment? If Mary had stayed silent, Elizabeth would have missed that moment. If Elizabeth had ignored the Spirit, she would not have confirmed Mary’s destiny. So speak — but speak with grace. Greet — but let your greeting carry presence. Honor others — and let your words lift, not tear down. Let God use your voice. Even your simple hello could stir joy in someone’s spirit.

Your voice matters. Use it for God’s glory today.

PRAYER

Lord, let my voice carry Your presence. Use my words to bring life, healing, and confirmation to others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
