1.     Let us pray and ask God to raise leaders for us who will lead our nation in righteousness “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people” (Prov. 14:34). See also: Ps. 34:15; Ps. 89:14.

2.     Let us pray for Nigerians to have a consciousness of the need for righteousness in the Land, laws based on God’s moral law, and justice.                                                                                                                                                       “When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law” (Matt. 7:28-29). See also: Deut. 4:9; Prov. 10:14.

3.     Let us pray for God to restore the biblical standard of education into the educational system of our nation where love for the students stands as a foundation through gifted and passionate teachers/lecturers/instructors. Job: 5:12: He disappointed the devices of the crafty so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.

4.     Pray against all hidden agendas, and that any attempts to deliberately orchestrate violence between the religious communities of Nigeria would come to nothing.

5.     Pray for wisdom in the utilization of the nation’s resources at all levels of power in the nation “Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free” (John 8:32). See also: Ps. 51:6; Zech. 8:16.

6.     Let us pray for Nigerians to hunger and thirst for truth in every aspect of life endeavors. Let this be the news of the day 247. “Do not use dishonest standards when measuring length, weight or quantity” (Lev. 19:35). See also: Prov. 3:9-

7.     Let us pray for Nigerians to deal honestly in every form of business in the land. Let us have integrity. “See, the Lord has chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability, and knowledge in all kinds of crafts” (Ex.35:30). See also: Is. 51:11, Eccl. 3:4.

8.     Let us pray and ask God to bless our nation with such kind of people filled with creativity, godliness, and sensitivity to the Spirit. “For I have chosen him so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just, so that the LORD will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.” (Genesis 18:19). See also: Deut. 11:19; Eph. 5:22-33.

9.     Let us pray for God to restore commitment to relationships, and holiness, bringing up children in God’s ways in our families.

10.  Ask the Almighty God to comfort, heal and provide for those who have lost loved ones and /or properties and businesses in this season, and let us pray for those who are captives of the enemy to be delivered (Isaiah 49:24-25). “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord” (Acts 3:19). See also: Joel 2:12-14; Ps. 85:4 -7.
